“Then, just as they were sitting down to eat, they looked up and saw a caravan of camels in the distance coming toward them. It was a group of Ishmaelite traders taking a load of gum, balm, and aromatic resin from Gilead down to Egypt.” - Genesis 37:35
This passage, along with the fragrances mentioned in the Songs of Solomon and mentions within the book of Kings, propelled my research first into the many uses of oleoresins gathered from trees like frankincense (Boswellia).
Desert Mystery contains crushed resin from Boswellia Papyrifera (also called pearls based on their appearance), as well as Cassia essential oil to form a unique and highly-fragrant scent profile.
This is my favorite bar of soap till this day, and perhaps the very bar I recommend for first time customers!

Different in appearance and unique in aroma, compared to our Conifer Resin blend, Desert Mystery contains the oleoresin “pearls” that have become widely popular among alternative medicine practitioners. Similar in attributes to the Conifer Resin blend, the Frankincense Resin added to Desert Mystery (typically Papyrifera or Carterii) includes benefits highly sought after in the world of Frankincense: Boswellic acids.*Keep in mind, Boswellic acids cannot be found in Frankincense essential oils, as the molecular structure of these acids are too heavy to pass through a distillation process. You can find more information on this Here.
